April Clark’s passion for fitness is deeply rooted in exercise, group settings, as well as one on one private training for all ages and fitness experience. Health and fitness has played a huge role in April’s life and she is dedicated to sharing her wealth of knowledge to the world.

April found her first love of movement to be one of dance where her first ballet class was at three years old. She continued to take ballet and jazz classes till the age of sixteen. April’s interest blossomed further at the age of twelve she became captain of her cheerleading squad in middle school through high school and a member of the gymnastics team through her youth group performing locally around town; competing and offering community service. April was in charge of leading the team through workouts and stretches and found a love for instructing and motivating people at a very young age.

April was recognized in Who's Who Among American High School Students® honoring students who have excelled in academics, extra-curricular activities and community service. April moved to Atlanta Georgia at the age of seventeen. While in high school she obtained a job at a premium health facility, The Sporting Club. There she found her interest in-group exercise and became a certified aerobics instructor at age seventeen and eventually became certified as a personal trainer yoga instructor, kickboxing instructor, spinning instructor / cycle instructor and thai yoga stretch and continues to broaden her already impressive certifications.


April Clark joined Corporate Sports Unlimited as an instructor and taught a wide variety of classes throughout the metro-Atlanta area. April was recognized as a great asset to this company because of her ability to teach a large variety of classes and for my flexibility in being available to sub at a moments notice. Some of the prestigious establishments that were very lucky to have April was  CNN Turner Athletic Club, The Coca-Cola Company, Home Depot, Crawford Communications, Atlanta Financial Services, Piedmont Hospital, and many others. April was dedicated to Corporate Sports for 11 years and loved every moment.

April has been a personal trainer at top-notch fitness venues including The Sporting Club, Crunch and small, private facilities such as Fitness Together a well-known southeast chain. Here, April enjoyed working with a wide range of ages from small children to the elderly and she finds immense joy in seeing improved health and fitness in the people that she works with.

April has demonstrated her fitness expertise for Extreme Performance Enhancement (XPE) (www.xpesports.com) where she trained weekly with professional athletes in baseball and NFL football players. April expanded her services and provided PNF stretching and a combination of Thai yoga massage mixed with personal technique the NFL and NBA.

April found that variety was not only the spice of life but also a way to keep things interesting. April’s  first certification of yoga was in 1999 from the Yoga Institute with an introduction to Pilates and Reiki (energy work) and started taking yoga and other classes at sixteen. April has had a long time passion for fitness and health and bringing awareness to others. April’s journey brought her to Los Angeles to continue her search for knowledge and other like-minded souls.

April is a  level 2 Yogic Artist (www.YogicArts.com) and teacher assistant to Master Duncan Wong creator of Yogic Arts. Yogic Arts is a compassionate embrace of Korean Buddhist Kuk Sool Won martial arts, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, and Thai-Shiatsu massage therapies. Yogic Arts is an alchemy of science, spirit and art. It recognizes the sacred roots of each of these ancient traditions of the Buddhist and Vedic warrior priest mystery schools and positions itself at the confluence of theses powerful streams of light. Yogic Arts is the unified field theory and practice of all these systems.

Some of of her clients include celebrities such as Sean Combs aka Diddy, Superstar music producer Dallas Austin and NFL player Mark Brown for the New York Jets, actor Brian White (Mr. 3000) and Chris Tucker (Rush Hour), Lucy Hall (Pretty little Liars), Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live) just to name a few.

April Clark was co-host for a fitness segment on channel 11 (11Alive) with 45,000 daily viewers. April was responsible for designing the concept of the show. April managed show topics and created timely themes. For example, she created a segment for the annual Peachtree road race which provided fitness preparation for the race including examples of exercises and correct execution. This series also included a segment on the importance of hydration and stretching before and after the race. April was the fitness expert who would demonstrate these techniques.  Anchor woman Jill Becker became a big fan as well as many other people, which lead to the show being Emmy nominated.

April joined the team at Lafitness in 2007, where she teaches numerous classes a week and almost every class they offer. April teaches Yoga, Pilates, Kickbox Cardio, Club Box (bag work), Bodyworks (dumbbell), Bootcamp, Aqua Fit (pool), Mat Pilates, various Yoga, ect.

It was always April's dream to study yoga with world renowned Yoga Guru Shiva Rae. In the summer of 2006 April got that chance and completed an extensive 200 yoga training. Shiva influenced April’s style greatly with more incorporation of fluid flow. April has a quest for knowledge in many aspects of fitness &  yoga has brought me to Urban Lilly Yoga owner Elinore Cohen ( www.UrbanLilyYoga.com) where April has completed a 200 hour yoga training in a comprehensive and extensive twelve week program that is by far the best training up to date.

April Clark is very excited to share with the world her knowledge and expertise in the field of wellness and fitness. April has an acute sense of what a person(s) needs when it comes to fitness and therapeutic treatment through exercise.

April Clark’s teaching style is extensive, working participants in a safe but thorough manner pushing them by using encouragement and proper instruction as well as her funny  and fun loving personality. However, always let the participant know that he/she is responsible for their own health and should monitor how they feel while allowing April to push them harder than they thought they could go.
